Encounters and other happenings...   Outstanding Navigators   I was lucky enough to arrive in Scandinavia just as a crowd of birds were preparing for their migration south, or had stopped there as a stopover on their long journey: every morning a flock of swifts flitted around the marina, some even landing on board Lista to peck insects from the web that a spider had patiently woven in the pushpit the evening before! And I will never cease to marvel at the triangular flight of the wild geese, an impressive demonstration of their intuitive knowledge of the laws of aerodynamic physics, they who have no need of GPS or other Starlink to cross the whole of Europe to their destination in Africa and return home with precision at the end of the holidays! * * * * * Grenaa Sejlklub   Among the warmest encounters I have had were those with my sailing neighbours from the Grenaa Sailing Club: Michael, Brian and Ulla, Carsten and Vibber, Bo and Bente, Peter Jakob, their family, and so many other friends, whose generosity is matched only by their kind and elegant discretion. Thank you, friends, and fair winds to all of you.     It's truly touching to regularly find, just left on the foredeck, true delicacies absolutely fresh from the garden or homemade, or to receive spontaneously help or really precious gifts... On Sunday, October 12th, the club flag-dropping ceremony took place, on the occasion of which the copious and truly delicious club meal, to which I had the privilege of being invited, was a pleasant change from the monotonous mess on board. while the club colors, which I had the honor of being offered, now adorn the Lista's saloon. * * * * *
